In February, the Remote Food Security team visited Warburton and worked with the Ngaanyatjarra Health Service to conduct 35 healthy kitchen audits in community homes. They also distributed 33 kitchen kits and had 21 yarns about kitchen design and access to food with families. The prices of a pre-set list of foods and sanitation products were collected from the Warburton store and compared with the closest regional town to assess price differences. All data are fed back to the community and PHAI offers to support local community-based advocacy around housing maintenance and access to food. Some photos from the trip are below.
