The #endingtrachoma team facilitates two healthy home projects in Warbuton and Roebourne – February and March 2025

Working in partnership to audit remote homes for risk factors related to trachoma is one of this team’s main priorities. In 2025, the project has coordinated 2 large scale healthy homes projects in Warburton and Roebourne. These projects build the capacity of local Aboriginal Environmental Health Practitioners to identify issues in homes, fix what they can and report what they cannot fix. Hygiene packs and yarns are also offered to families. Below are some photos from these projects and the team would like to thank the following organisations for their support and assistance:

Ngaanyatjarra Health Service, Mawarnkarra Aboriginal Health Service, Pilbara Aboriginal Health Alliance, PAMS, Pilbara Meta Maya, Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, the Department of Communities (Housing) and the Environmental Health Directorate.
