41 Local Governments nominated in the 2019 awards with 6 first time entrants. The awards were presented by Minister David Templeman at The Perth Convention Centre alongside the WALGA Convention before over150 Mayors, Elected Members, Local Government Representatives and supporters.
The City of Swan was the Overall winner, entering 9 out of 11 categories, also receiving awards in the Planning Healthy Communities, Healthy Food and Young People Making a Difference in Communities categories.
The City of Busselton won the Regional Award excelling in each category entered and should be congratulated on their strong focus on children’s health and the environment.
