Opinion Piece Seminars
The PHAIWA series of Opinion Pieces will feature younger public health practitioners who we feel are ideally placed to contribute to the debate around the future of public health and policy. These Opinion Piece Seminars will provide a greater diversity of perspectives and ideas, from people who rarely have the opportunity to be heard.
The next Opinion Piece Seminar is being held on Friday the 10th of September 2010 at the Curtin Health Research Campus in Shenton Park.
The topic is "Early Career Investment - what do we need from our managers?" with presentations from Julia Stafford, Leanne Gledich, Victoria Van & Peta Turner. Please download our flyer for more details.
Inaugural PHAIWA Opinion Piece Seminar The first seminar series was held on the 11th of June 2010 and was a great success. The Topic for the first opinion piece was “Principles, values and beliefs of public health – how can they be more visible and persuasive with the public, politicians and decision makers”. With presentations from Jonathan Hallett, Leesa Tapping, Eleanor Costello and Emma Croager.
[L-R]: Emma Croager, Leesa Tapping, Eleanor Costello, Melissa Stoneham and Jonathan Hallett
