PHAIWA has been conducting environment and public health surveys with local governments in Western Australia since 2009. These surveys occur every three years, and the 2009, 2012 and 2015 reports are available to view below. The online survey targeted Environmental Health Officers working in local governments in WA, in order to identify the main environmental and public health priorities within local government, activities undertaken, and resource allocation.
The 2015 Local Government Survey Report is now available, which highlights the main findings of the latest survey, and compares trends within environmental health activities and resources at a local government level across the last 6 years. The report is available to view through the attachment below.
A number of fact sheets were developed on "Working with Local Governments. How advocacy can assist".
