Australian children are bombarded with about 2200 junk food ads on TV per year. That's about 18 hours worth of ads promoting obesity-inducing food - the equivalent of three full school days!

Parents want their kids to eat healthily, yet they have to compete with the country's top ten food companies who pump more than $375M annually into food marketing. The Federal Government attempts to promote healthy lifestyle messages, but is outspent by the food industry six to one on marketing.

On May 5 2009, we launched an on-line campaign to hit back. You can view our 35 second clip exposing food marketing to kids, then send a simple email to the Minister for Health, Nicola Roxon, and the Senators from your State. Please check it out, and share it with your friends and networks.
