Local Government Children's Environment & Health Awards announced

PHAIWA would like to congratulate the City of Subiaco for winning the inaugural Children’s Environment & Health Awards held this morning as part of our Local Government Report Card Project.  The City of Subiaco was judged best in the state from a field of 19 council submissions, primarily due to their comprehensive children’s consultation framework outlined in their Child Friendly City Plan.

In addition, Subiaco was recognised with category awards for:
 - stimulating learning environments,
 - environments supportive of physical activity, and
 - child friendly planning approaches.

The Shire of Dardanup won the award for best rural entrant. For a full list of all winners please visit our website. PHAIWA would like to thank our partners the Australian Health Promotion Association, Healthway and the Western Australian Local Government Association for their support with this project.
