A Board of Governance, comprising a Chairperson and 10 nominees of stakeholder groups guides the PHAIWA. The Board represents a mix of university and non-government organisations. The role of the Board is to prioritise advocacy targets and set strategic direction. The director of PHAIWA is Professor Mike Daube who is supported by a Senior Research Fellow, a Research Fellow, Research Assistants and an Executive Officer.
